Panama's geographic location

Panama is located southeast of Central America, bordered on the north by the Caribbean Sea, south by the Pacific Ocean, east by Colombia and west by Costa Rica. Its Capital is Panama city.

It is a place meeting of several cultures. In its territory is located the Panama Canal, an important work that facilitates shipping between the Atlantic coast and the Pacific Ocean and has a great influence on world trade. Anton´s Valley is located 2 hours from Panama City. It is located in the crater of dormant volcano where it maintains a cool climate all year round with little rain. For this reason the soil is so incredibly nutrient rich, making it an ideal place to cultivate fruits, vegetables and flowers.

The crater measures 18.3 square kilometers and rises 600m above sea level, with an average temperature of 18C.In this beautiful place, is usually performed much hiking and trekking, which is walking long distances to get in touch with nature. Besides hiking, there are other activities and attractions that you can enjoy when you visit El Valle, as the "Medlar zoo", Hot Springs, the craft market, the Museum of the Valley, Petroglyphs in La Pintada, the Jets and the "Mozas Macho", and its cultural festivals or holidays can enjoy the celebration of Esquipulas Anton´s Christ, Corpus Christi, festivals and the Torito Guapo´s Festival.

We also find the “The Gaital´s Hill”, there are diverse range of flora and fauna in its 335 hectares of protected area to over 3,000 meters above sea level. Here are also the facilities of the National Environmental Authority (ANAM). Among the most enigmatic of the area we can highlight the sleeping India.
